5 Things That Make the Tesla Model 3 Awesome

5 Things That Make the Tesla Model 3 Awesome

The Tesla Model 3 is the best-selling electric vehicle in the world and has been for four years now. Tesla has sold over 500,000 units and what’s unique about this car is that you don’t have to go to the gas station. Unless you want to.

Both the Tesla Model 3 and the Model Y actually outsold all new cars in California during Q1 2022. This is a huge achievement for any EV especially when you consider that the competition is made up of mostly internal combustion vehicles. However, there are still some critics out there who consider Tesla to be a luxury-only brand and some are simply unaware of the affordability of the Model 3.

With this in mind, I’m sharing 5 reasons why you, especially if you’re in the market for a new car, need to make the switch to not just any electric vehicle, but a Tesla Model 3.

1) The Tesla Model 3 is the Super Safe.

The Model 3 has achieved the lowest probability of injury of any vehicle ever tested by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA). The reason why the Model 3 has such a compelling score is that along with its almost 50/50 weight distribution, it was designed with an extremely low polar moment of inertia. This means that the heaviest components of the car are located at its center of gravity.

2) Never go to a gas station again.

This is true for all of Tesla’s vehicles, however, but when you consider that the Model 3 is Tesla’s most affordable vehicle, the savings add up. According to a recent article in CNBC, U.S.  households are spending the equivalent of $5,000 per year on gasoline which is up around $2,800 from 2021 and up $3,800 from as recently as March. Inflation is hitting consumers at every point so if you are in the market for a new car, switching to an EV will help you save.

3) It Farts.

Although Tesla vehicles don’t emit exhaust, they do have a fun feature called Fart Mode that allows you to prank your friends and family. Fun is the name of the game for Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk is all about making things fun.

4) It has Dog Mode.

If you have pets, you can safely leave them in the car while you’re on the go. In most scenarios, leaving a pet in the car can be a death sentence. Dog Mode, however, allows you to set the vehicle's interior temperature to a safe temperature such as 67 degrees Fahrenheit if it's hot outside.

The screen shows a large display with the temperature so worried passersby will be able to take heart knowing that the animal in the car is safe and not being abused.

5) Zero Emissions.

Not only will you be driving a zero-emissions EV, but you will reduce your own carbon footprint. The carbon impact of internal combustion engines is the same every year of use. For EVs, it improves. Tesla estimated that an average vehicle in the U.S. is driven slightly less than 12,000 miles per year for about 17 years before it's scrapped. And as these vehicles age, the fuel efficiency only remains stable if they are properly serviced.

Tesla also added that the electricity generation to charge EVs has become greener over time thanks to the addition of cleaner energy courses to the grid.

Conclusion.
If you’re in the market for a new car, going electric will save you money in the long run while being safer, more fun, and helping you to reduce your own carbon footprint. The Tesla Model 3 is the safest car the NHTSA has ever tested and it’s the most affordable--even if the prices have gone up some.
