Elon Musk recently appeared at the Tesla Giga Berlin facility where he provided updates on both the design plans for the facility and the strategy for producing Tesla's anticipated $25,000 electric vehicle aimed at the mass market.
Though there have been speculations about this vehicle being produced in various markets, including China and Mexico, Musk clarified in discussions with the staff that the model would be manufactured in Berlin to cater to the European market.
Industry analysts anticipate that this new car might be launched in 2024. However, with Tesla's current focus on ramping up production of the Cybertruck at the Texas Gigafactory, along with Musk's concerns about interest rates mentioned in the Q3 Earnings Call, the introduction of this new project may be delayed.
There are also emerging details suggesting that the design of this next gen affordable vehicle might draw inspiration from the Cybertruck. Musk also shared his vision for the Berlin factory's aesthetic enhancement, revealing plans to cover the concrete surface with art by local artists.
