Tesla's Giga Berlin plant has reportedly reached a weekly production milestone of 6,000 Model Y vehicles, according to company employees. In a promotional video, staff shared insights into Tesla's work culture, emphasizing opportunities for growth and achievement. A LinkedIn post by Tesla Quality Engineer Lars Lengacker, featuring a video of his Model Y surrounded by commemorative shirts for production milestones, including one marked "6K," suggests the plant has hit this significant output level.
Tesla Director of Quality Bob Foulkes confirmed the achievement in another post, praising the team's hard work and dedication, and highlighted the global impact of their efforts, including the production of over 200,000 vehicles at Giga Berlin. He also expressed excitement for the challenges and successes ahead in 2024. As of now, production is temporarily halted due to supply chain disruptions caused by conflicts in the Red Sea, affecting transportation routes and leading to a production pause from January 29 to February 11, 2024.
