Tesla has initiated a one-month free trial of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature for eligible U.S. owners, following an announcement by CEO Elon Musk. This trial is being sent out via software update to all vehicles capable of supporting FSD and allows owners to experience advanced driver-assist functionalities without the initial purchase. Features enabled during this trial include lane changes, navigation route adjustments, and maneuvering around obstacles, under the condition of driver supervision.

The rollout coincides with a broader push by Tesla to integrate FSD into customer experiences, including mandatory FSD test rides during vehicle deliveries and offering free trials for new purchases. Furthermore, Tesla has updated the terminology for its FSD feature, replacing "Beta" with "Supervised" to underscore the necessity of driver attention and intervention despite the automation.
This development is part of Tesla's continuous effort to enhance and promote its FSD technology while emphasizing safety and the importance of driver engagement, aligning with its cautious stance on autonomous driving capabilities. Below are some early videos from Tesla owners experiencing FSD 12.3.
