It's a busy new year for Tesla's gigafactory in Texas. Recent images and footage from Joe Tegtmeyer revealed more IDRA Giga Press deliveries which are the largest so far. In December, aerial images taken of the factory showed that some of the 9,000-ton Giga Press parts from IDRA were delivered.
The deliveries of the Cybertruck's 9,000-ton Giga Press bring us another step closer to the production Tesla's long-awaited electric truck.
In other Tesla news, Tesla was invited to participate in the first mobility summit of the Scholz era in the German Chancellor's Office. Although CEO Elon Musk didn't attend, Tesla's plant manager André Thierig and Michaela Schmitz, chairwoman of the works council at Giga Berlin were in attendance.
For the first time in almost a quarter of a century, a U.S. automaker became the top luxury car brand in the U.S. last year. That automaker was Tesla which beat the previous winner, BMW, with a 156,612-vehicle lead. Estimates from the Automotive News Research & Data Center also found that Tesla sold over 491,000 vehicles in the. U.S. last year.
