A new type of center console

One of the biggest things you might have noticed the first time you climbed into your Tesla Model 3 or Model Y is the screen and the beautiful piano finish center console. There’s no missing it — the touch interface takes over everything you thought you knew about dash controls and gauge clusters in favor of one unified display.

The center console is designed well but has one killer flaw —the beautiful piano finish. The glossy plastic panels attract fingerprints, dust, and smudges from you and your passengers and detract from the car’s interior, making it feel, well, kind of dirty.

After a few days of ownership, you quickly start to notice fingerprints and smears on the piano finish. This was so significant that the 2020 Model 3 and Model Y has a refreshed center console that no longer has this piano finish. But if you do have the piano finish console, well, we've got a solution.

We've made a beautiful walnut veneer overlay that is designed to be easy to install. Using a special suction adhesive, we can create something that can be removed and applied many times over to allow for best alignment. This is made of real wood, hand finished and sealed in Berkeley California, USA.
